It all started back in 1988. This was when the first location opened in Longwood Florida. Prior to that event, the owners Richard T. Grimaldi and Giuseppe Giambrone (A.K.A. Papa Joe) met in Joe’s pizzeria Big Apple Pizza. Richard was a customer there and met Joe as he was making pizzas that reminded him of N.Y. They hit it off. They would talk about their youth growing up in the big city of New York over a cup of espresso. Richard would tell Joe that one day they would go into business together and open a pizzeria. Well a couple of years later that premonition came true.
They are now celebrating 31 years in business together. This is still a family run operation. Their sons, Michael and Michael have been groomed by their fathers to take over the family business one day, doing exactly what got them through the first 28 years. Cristina, Joe’s daughter has been working in the stores and the corporate office as well as Joe’s wife Mimma. Richard’s brother Patrick is the head of maintenance for all the locations.
There are 3 locations in Seminole County, Florida (Central Florida/Orlando Area). They have 2 locations in Lake Mary and 1 location in Longwood/Altamonte. They have won many awards for the best pizza in all of Seminole County. The owners say “Using the best ingredients for our food is one of the many reasons you taste the difference. We have multiple 20+ year employees that have been with us. We still care about quality and taking care of our customers on a day to day basis. This separates us from the big chains. That’s to our advantage. Come in and let us earn a slice of your business!

"Chivalry is not dead."
"The calzones are the best we've ever had, and we travel a lot. The owners are very personable and kind. For example, the owners son, Michael escorted me to my car with his large umbrella during a very heavy FL rainstorm. Chivalry is not dead. Service is always excellent as well, thank you.!!"

"Absolutely Delicious"
"Absolutely the best calamari in town. Excellent service. Mike, Pam, and Jason are absolutely the best. My team of coworkers is treated like locals and go at least twice a week."

"Crispy Crust"
"I'm not sure why this rating is 3.5, pizza here is excellent. Originally from Staten Island and we know pizza. I think David Portnoy would agree and probably rate the pizza somewhere between a 7.4 to a 7.8 range if he came here, but I can't speak for him:) Crispy crust with good under carriage. Not a lot of flop. Service always fantastic."
